Apologies for the lack of updating!! I got a new computer then could not find the right program to do the necessary!! I hope that things will now improve!!

Bird Atlas 2007 - 11

Note: a tetrad requires two visits in the winter and two visits in the breeding season and is then COMPLETE - it should not be covered in all four years.

Allocated tetrads and survey coverage totals have been updated!

There are details of the Atlas survey and coverage on the Survey page.  The first year records are now in and figures are now being put in for the second year. Please be aware that the totals are not 100% accurate.

Areas still requiring coverage  Working on the BTO request to cover a minimum of 8 tetrads per 10k square, the following are the 10k squares that need some coverage:-

ST40, 50, 60, 80, 82, SY48, 58, 59, 79, 97, SZ07 and SZ08 - 29 tetrads for minimum coverage!

so, if you are looking for a tetrad to cover for the Atlas Survey, and are able to travel a short (ish) distance, please look to covering one of the tetrads in the above 10k squares.

Please see the Survey page for details.

This site is here mainly to keep you up to date with BTO surveys and activities in Dorset.  Also you will find links to various pages on the BTO and RSPB Web Sites covering such things as Health and Safety, as well as other things of interest

On the 'Links' page you will find the Met Office, Rare Bird Alert, RSPB and others. 'My Things' is the one place on the Web Site that will not relate to ornithology! 'My Things' is where I, as Web Master, can put things that I like.  Some of the links will always be there, and some of them will come and go.  Have a look and enjoy!!
